Could you imagine this scenario? You come to view an apartment block, and as a cat lover, immediately notice the cats surrounding the building. When you ask your landlord to be about them she responds in a very positive tone that they are cared for by her and the tenants and you begin to think to yourself that you might have finally landed in cat heaven and will never have to apartment hunt again.

You'll host cat themed Halloweens, cat themed fourth of Julys and of course cat themed Christmases. Every Caturday there will be a block party in the block of flats and cats will roam free in the halls visiting whichever home the fancy and will get treated to lots of yummy treats. Now, forget all that and pretend that everything other than the apartment block and the landlady. Welcome to the beginning of today's feline flavored story.

  • Honestly, people who are nice, but to a point, drive us up the wall. If you are already leaving food out for these fluffy feline souls, then why not just let whatever else happen. You have already committed yourself to supporting them, why should a hand feed make any difference. The cats are staying one way or another.

    Wanted to give an update: As of this coming Friday ALL the community cats have been successfully TNR'd! A wonderful trapper from OC Community Cats came out and helped me get all the cats (and the ones outside my complex) to the vet for care and 3 litters were prevented from being born. outside during the rain storm.
